Dear Customers,
The old saying goes that April Showers bring May flowers but around here we have had no showers to speak of in April or May. We did have a few days here at the end of the month with scattered showers over a 4-day period but nothing major. We need a good old-fashioned gentle rain for a day or two to get things growing. Of course we dont want it to rain on the lawns or well just have to cut em.
We are going to have some new designs available next week. We will have a series of .390 lift Torque Monster roller profiles aimed primarily at high rocker ratio applications such as BB Chevys and Fords. The first ones will be 254 and 262 degrees duration @ .050 . Others will follow soon. There will be some new flat tappet profiles as well. The first 2 will be .842 profiles with 240 duration @.050 with a .340 lift and 244 duration with .346 lift. These have noticeably more lobe area than our XTL series while maintaining a good nose radius.
Winners;
Why we are one of the best kept secrets ofsuccessful engine builders.
I cant believe I left this out of last months newsletter. April 18th was Camcraft day at US 13 Dragway in Delmar DE. An great time was had by all in the VIP suite. The final round in Super Pro saw two Camcraft customers paired off. Steve Drummond of Drummond Race Cars, ran a 8.865 on a 8.83 dial in his Mustang to edge out Michael Hoopers 9.81 on a 9.77 dial in his Vega. Steve was also runner up in the Bad Eight show, so he took home most of the money that day. He is one of our biggest Maryland dealers. You can check out both of these cars on our web site.
Steve won the 2nd Bad Eight show at US 13 on the 22nd of June. David Hooper, Michaels dad, won super pro in the Hooper & Howell Camero on the same day.
Dan Pogorzala of Pogo Machine in Ransomville, NY reports that Alex Morris # 43 car picked up a win in the Street Stock class. Rick Sinnots #48 Street Stock picked up 2 wins. Both cars run at Ransomville Speedway in Ransomville, NY. Rick is the current points leader.

RV Engines in Alexander, NY has a winner in Jim Johnson who picked up 2 wins and two 4th place finishes in his #93 Street Modified at Genesee Speedway in Batavia, NY. He is #1 in points. Check out our web site for a picture of his sharp looking Mustang.
Scott Little of Complete Auto machine in Dora, Al. Has 2 feature wins in his # 21 Toyota Mini Modified at Birmingham International Speedway. On May 8th he won, and #8 driven by Johnny Rotenberry was second followed by 4th place finisher Lee Streetman in the #01 car. All 3 cars were running Scotts engines and our cams. Scott and Johnny have won the last 6 races with scott winning 4 and Johnny capturing 2 wins. Four time they finished 1st & 2nd.
Hollywood Machine and Camcraft really overpowered the competition at South Hampton Speedway in Capron, VA on the 8th of May. Hollywood engines with Camcraft cams took 3 of the top 4 spots in the Grand Stock division. John Eversole took the top spot in his # 98 Chevy. Herbie Williams # 9 car was 3rd and Chris Mueller in the #31 took the 4th place spot. Herbies car is a Ford and the others are Chevys.
Ronnie Presswood, owner of R.P. Racing Engines in Lenoir, NC reports that his engines have won 8 of the first 10 late model stock races at Hickory Motor Speedway in Hickory, NC and 6 or 7 at Tri County Speedway in Hudson, NC.
Alan Holmes of Lincoln County Auto Parts in Fayetteville, TN has picked up 6 wins in his # 59 Open Wheel car at Winchester Speedway in Winchester, TN. He runs an IMCA style claimer class and has had 2 engines claimed in 2 weeks. Thats a really tough road for anyone to hoe. He went back the week after the first claim and won again. He showed up the day after the second claim to race again. That shows some real perseverance! Hang in there Alan.
Remember: If youre not running a Camcraft cam youre probably following one!
We thank you for your continued support.
Yours truly.
