Dear Customers,

It is hard to believe that February has passed already. That means I’m another year older. While February was not quite as hot as January, Most of us have been pretty busy. Overall it was a very good month even if the work did come in spurts. March, I believe will be even better.

Racers are really starting to prepare for the coming season. Drag racing locally as US 13 Dragway in Delmar, DE. opened Sunday the 28th with a practice day and will be followed by another practice day March 7th. We would have been there but I had the opportunity to fly down to Sarasota FL. with a friend to visit my parents. I just couldn’t pass it up so I said the heck with racing and went to Florida for a few days.

We dyno tested our new motor from R & W Enterprises. We got 627 horsepower and 556 lbft of torque. This 370 cid engine (4.030 bore X 3.625 stroke) made 500 hp @ 4800 rpm and had 600+ from 5900 to 7700 rpm. This was using our tried and true Smithcraft modified 650 cfm Holley Carb. (Our 750 Baker still doesn’t work as well.) I’m expecting a memorable ride in our 2400 lb Monza. We still have a 383 cubic inch engine with Canfield heads in the works.

We hope to do a little traveling this year with our racing program. We hope to make several IHRA National meets as well as some of the divisional Bracket races in central North Carolina. We also want to race at Natural Bridge and Waynesboro, VA.

We still have a few race prepped 350 Chevy Blocks available. Everyone who got one so far is really impressed with them. For those who missed the last newsletter they are cleaned, sonic tested,4 bolt splayed caps installed, line honed, Decks squared with plugs in the large water holes, and bored and honed with torque plates to 4.030 size. These are a really great deal at $535.00. They do not have cam bearings and freeze plugs installed. Don’t wait: they’re going fast and there aren’t any more when these are gone.

Check out our web site on the apparel page for some pictures of our T shirts, Sweat shirts, & aprons. I took these pictures at a recent photo shoot our camera club had recently. I used a digital camera we got for Christmas from our children and downloaded them right to the computer. It is really nice and convenient to use.

We now have a line sheet on our web site. If it got done properly it has it’s own page accessed from the home page. Be sure to check it out. We are having them printed and will be sending them out in the near future. I’m sure we have lots more stuff available than you ever imagined.

Remember, If you’re not running a Camcraft cam you’re probably following one!

As usual we thank you for your continued support.

Yours Truly,

Charles, Harriett, Chuck, Clarence, & Debra
