Dear Customers,

     Well it’s Christmas time again and we all want to wish our customers and friends a pleasant holiday.

     2005 seems to have been good to some of us and not so good to others. There is a wider difference between the good and the bad this year. I haven’t heard a good explanation yet. Crate motors are part of the problem. If nothing else they inject an air of uncertainty into the market, which makes some racers reluctant to make a move till the smoke clears.

Christmas holidays

We will be closed from December 23rd at 2:00 pm until Jan 2nd. Please advise the appropriate people in your company of this schedule so you will not be inconvenienced. Incoming UPS & Fed-Ex deliveries will be received as usual.

     Harriett and I just returned from a little sojourn to Orlando for a week. We had a little vacation and then hit the PRI Show. Our high point of the vacation part was going to a dinner show at Arabian Nights. The food was good and the show was spectacular. The best place to get tickets for the local shows is apparently Wal-Mart. The A.N. show is regularly $48.75 but we got them for $26.00.

     On Friday we had a reception for our customers visiting the show. It was at the Wyndam Palms resort where we traded our time-share. We got to meet some of our regular customers for the first time and everyone had a good time. We appreciate the time our customers took from their busy schedules to visit us. We will likely do it again next year.

New Profiles

          I have been working on some new profiles and have a group of .260 and .274 lift designs with dwell at maximum lift. These designs were done with very advanced software that I acquired last spring. I have designs from 228 to 238 degrees every 2 degrees for .260 lift and 230 to 240 degrees for the .274. I will have some new .477 roller exhaust profiles as well. So far I have a 296 degree @ .050 done

Antique performance cam catalog

     We now have a catalog devoted to Antique Performance Cams. Call or e-mail for your copy. It is now on our web site.  All cams listed are ground on new castings and include flathead Fords, all nailhead Buicks, Poly 318 Chryslers, 56-64 Olds 324, 371 and 394, Y Block Fords, 270 & 302 GMC, and many more.

     Many of these castings are only available through Camcraft. The catalog is not printed so we prefer to send via e-mail. Just ask. charles@camcraftcams.com. Be sure to put something appropriate in the subject line, like Antique cam catalog, or it may get deleted. They are in Microsoft Excel format. We may have a limited supply of printed catalogs soon. We also stock many new factory performance profiles and will have a catalog for those as well.

     The engines listed are those for which we have new castings. We do regrind other cams, for which there are no new castings, to a more performance oriented profile. Rely on Camcraft to add that extra zip to your antique restoration or hot rod.  

This is the time of year when we reflect on the past year, how well we have done, and how thankful we are for your patronage and support in making 2005 a good year for Camcraft.
