Dear Customers,
It’s that Santa Claus season again. It seems the Christmas shopping season starts earlier every year. Halloween wasn’t even over before Christmas stuff hit the shelves. The work slowdown has finally hit us. November was extremely slow for us. I hope December will be better.
We wish you all a happy holiday and a prosperous New Year
Surgery:
I am recovering nicely from my heart valve replacement. The surgery went very well and the valve is functioning nicely. The surgeon said mine was one of the worst valves he has replaced. He also said the rest of my heart looked very healthy. I hope that means I will see a big difference in my energy level by spring. I will start cardiac rehab in a few more weeks. I hope to be back at work at least 2-3 hours a day after Thanksgiving.
Christmas Schedule:
We will be closed from 5:00pm Tuesday Dec 23rd thru Friday Dec. 26th. We will be open Monday Dec. 29th through 1:00 pm Wednesday Dec. 31st then closed again Thursday Jan. 1st. Things will return to normal Wed. Jan. 2nd. Please advise appropriate people on your staff so they may plan accordingly. UPS & Fed-X shipments will come in as usual.
I have been working on a few new cam designs during my home stay. They are mostly fill ins for existing series like the SXTL, XTLS, and big duration roller designs. There will be some new .904 profiles as well.
The latest news on the crate motors for NASCAR Late Model Stock is that there will be Chrysler and Ford crate motors allowed. There will be weight differences to equalize competition between the different brands. Crate motors are to be optional for 2004.

Despite the rainy season that had a negative effect on everyone’s engine business, followed by a slow November we have had quite a significant sales increase this year. We want to take this opportunity to thank all of you that made this increase possible.
We appreciate your continued support!!
Yours truly
Charles, Harriett, Clarence, Chuck & Johnny
