Dear Customers,
School has started in most places by now. Now hopefully a little money will free up for the racers. Lord knows they need it just to be able to get to the track anymore.
Sept 24th is the date for our daughter Betty’s wedding. We will leave for Ashville on the evening of the 20th and be back in Easton on the 27th. We have lots of friends and family coming and it should be a festive, fun filled weekend. We are excited!
We have
resumed normal Friday hours.
Friday hours will go back to normal 8:00 am to 5:00 pm DST.
Big Street Racer event at US-13 Dragway!
On the Modified Semi truck pulling scene, Jim Fink of Cyclone Machine reports that Chris Woods in his 3406 Cat powered “Class Act” Peterbuilt has won the first 11 of 12 pulls in the NTPA Pro Stock single charger semi class in Ohio.
Keen’s Automotive, Smithfield, VA powered Danny Edwards #26 to a Late Model win at Langley Speedway Aug 28th .
We have had others tell of many wins and promise to e-mail information but they didn’t do it.
End of year testing
Ford 2.9L & 3.0L engine parts
Camcraft continues to be about the sole aftermarket supplier of performance cams for the 2.9L & 3.0L Ford engines. We also have cams for the 4.0L engine as well.
Remember we stock 2.9L engine kits, rebuilt connecting rods, Valves, Valve Springs, Valve locks, rocker arms, rocker arm spacers, etc. We have a dynamite performance head for the 2.9L engine. We also offer a stock type rocker arm assembly with modified ratio. It is about 1.55 ratio and offers a healthy boost in valve opening speed and lift over the 1.47 stock rocker ratio. It also features hard chromed shafts.
We also have modified rockers for the early
318 Chrysler Poly engine, Y block Ford, and others with a cast adjustable rocker
arm. We can do special orders and recondition or modify your rocker assembly.
We have had some very significant price increases over past year. The increase in flat tappet cam prices will be a very modest 3-5% or so. The roller cams are a different matter. All billet suppliers have a surcharge on any steel products. Expect about a 10% increase in prices on about everything steel and some of the oddball combinations like 55 mm bearings and 4/7 firing swap may be even more. We hate to see this happen but it is a hard fact of life. We hope you all have had enough success with our cams that the price increase will not matter. Our profit margin, in some cases, is reduced even with increase.
As always, we appreciate your Support.
Yours truly,
Charles, Harriett, Clarence, Chuck, and Stephanie, & Houdini
