Camcraft Newsletter
August, 2006 Dear Customers, Here comes the hottest part of the summer. We have had some nice weekends but they have been very hot. Heat indexes of 105-114 have been common most of July. Nobody wants to go anywhere when it’s that hot. Kids are preparing to head back to school and need money for all the latest cool stuff on the market. This takes money away from daddy’s toys but will let up soon. Business has slowed down a little which is fairly normal for this time of year. We will get another surge next month as most track’s points races end and people try new things at the end of the season to get a head start on new combinations for next year. Racing business will taper off sharply in October and November and begin picking up again in December after the PRI show. Many people are reporting a little slower year overall and feel it is a reflection of the economy. Fuel costs have dramatically affected the cost of racing in that now it costs so much more to just get to the track.
