Camcraft Newsletter
June & July 2006 Dear Customers, After receiving her Masters Degree in Social Service last month, Victoria went about the task of finding a job. She had several interviews in the Baltimore area and she felt she would be happy with any of them. She has accepted a position as a counselor at Franklin Group Homes in West Baltimore. So far she really likes her work. Sales have been brisk with our Antique Performance Cams. Camcraft has the most extensive listing of new performance cams for the antique market. Most of our customers have restored cars and just want a little better performance and fuel economy with a good smooth idle. Performance cams for restored antique cars do not have to turn it into a hot rod. Our new inventory of roller lifters is now in stock. They are made by Morel. Morel makes top quality roller lifters and they are available in a wider variety of diameters and pushrod offsets. They are available with pressure oiling. They also have replacement hydraulic roller lifters as well as retrofit hydraulic rollers. We have most of our initial inventory in place.
WinnersDan Porgazala of Pogo Machine & Salvage reports that brothers Dave Williams, #9J, and Mike Williams, #6M, had a 1-2 finish at Ransomville Speedway. On June 4th Steve Drummond of Drummond Race cars picked up a win in Real Street in his wife’s Mustang at US 13 Dragway in Delmar, DE. He ran 8.44 @ 164 on 10.5” tires. Steve built the car and the engine. Pettit Racing Engines powered Chris Tryon to a win in Sportsman Modified #5 at Lebanon Valley speedway. Ed Canup of ECR in Pasadena, MD powered Kevin Sprague #1 to 2 wins in the Street Stock class at Trailways Speedway in Hanover, PA. A man after my own heart, Greg Zaleski, picked up a Grand Enduro win at Riverhead Raceway in NY. He was powered by an OLDSMOBILE built by Baker Machine in Cutchogue, NY. Remember, before Chevy, before Dodge, even before Ford, there was Oldsmobile. Pat Kohn picked up a win in the Hobby A class at Redwood Speedway in Redwood City, MN. His engines are built by Carquest Auto Parts of Hutchinson, MN.
