Dear Customers,
Sunday May 4th is Camcraft day at US-13 Dragway in Delmar, DE. The show includes a Bad 8 race and the MANDRA vintage drag race circuit. If you are there, be sure to come up to the 3rd floor of the tower to visit or stop by our trailer. Our Monza will be out for the first time this year featuring a sharp new cream, orange and purple paint job by the GM Giant, as well as a new driver, Gary Quan.
You may have noticed a new voice on the phone lately. He is Tony McClyment of Cambridge, MD. Tony worked for us briefly many years ago before leaving for greener pastures. His primary area of responsibility is shipping and receiving but he helps out in the shop with straightening and Parkerizing and is our general maintenance man. If you have questions about shipments he is the one to ask first. He is a welcome addition to our staff.
Warm weather is finally here most of the time. Racetracks are open and Camcraft customers are winning races once again.
At Langley Speedway, Langley, VA, Casey Wyatt, powered by a Keene’s Automotive engine, set a new track record in the #29 Limited Late Model.
Pettit Racing Engines powered Eric Berndt to victory at Thompson Speedway in the #54 SK Modified at the 1st race of the season.
Lincoln County Auto Parts in Fayetteville, TN helped put Jerry Ashley and his #7 Late Model in the winner’s circle at Winchester Speedway while owner Alan Holmes in the # 59 won the Open Wheel class the same night. Alan has also won at Moulton Speedway in Alabama. Alan’s engines frequently fill 3 or 4 of the top 5 spots at Winchester Speedway in the Open Wheel class.
A recent weekend at Bridgeport Speedway in New Jersey saw TK Competition power the first 3 cars in the Sportsman Modified class. 1st was Kevin Collins in the #126 car followed by Ritchie Pratt in the #34 car and Robbie Pierce in the #88 car.
Any Camcraft customer wishing to have a picture of their car on our web site is welcome to send a picture and a brief description to me via e-mail. Pictures in JIFF or JPEG format are preferred. We will also mention any wins in our newsletter. Information is preferred via e-mail at any time of month. This prevents any last minute rushing. If you regularly send this information out, you can just add me to the list.
We are closing out our nitrous systems and parts sales. We have a few systems left and are selling them at about cost + incoming freight. We have 3 Compucar systems and a ZEX system. The ZEX system is the Sport Compact for $465.00. The Compucar systems are 275 hp adjustable at about $450.00. A 5.0L Ford 150 hp wet system for about $450.00 and a Bottle in a bag system for about $420.00. The Compucar system prices are not exact as I don’t have prices here at home but they are close. They may even be a bit cheaper.
