Dear Customers,

For those of you who may not have heard, Clarence had a heart attack February 8th. They hustled him up to University hospital in Baltimore where they put in 2 Stents. He had complete blockage to one side of his heart. He is OK now and will hopefully be back to work March 8th.

He was out with back problems for 8 days prior to his heart attack and had worked 2 days when disaster fell the next weekend. Needless to say we are very far behind. Debbie Sadelson, a former employee, has come back part time to help us get caught up. She was a grinder operator with us for about 7 or 8 years and is being an immense help. I try to grind some myself but it is hard to stay off the phone. Also I seldom grind anything other than Chevy cams so the other things don’t go very quickly. This has been compounded by a problem I developed in my right knee during my cardiac rehab program. My knee has required physical therapy 3 times a week. It has improved.  All of this has caused us to revise our vacation plans as follows.

Revised Vacation Schedule

Harriett and I will be on vacation from March 17th until March 23rd or 24th.  We will spend a few days with our consultant and some time calling on customers. Then we will be with my mother in Sarasota. I also plan to do a fishing trip with my old buddy Mike Boggy who I used to fish with back in the late 50s in North Palm Beach. If you know you will need technical assistance about that time period, please try to do it before we leave. We may return a few phone calls while we are away but there will be days when we will not be available. Do not expect Clarence to help much with tech questions. He grinds em but doesn’t know about selection of profiles. If he says he doesn’t know then don’t waste your time or his talking about it. Just ask him to get me to call you back and hope it doesn’t take too long. Also be sure to leave an evening phone number if it is important that I get back to you the same day.

I have been working on some new profiles recently and they are listed below. There will be some more in the near future. We have the masters and can grind them now.

If you’re not running a Camcraft cam

you’re probably following one!!!

For anyone that cares, we will no longer ship with Fed-X. All shipping will be via UPS. We have had many complaints about the Fed-X service although on our end the service is great both shipping and receiving. The final straw was that we would have to update our shipping computer to use their software. It just wasn’t worth it. Hopefully this won’t inconvenience many people.

We appreciate everyone’s patience during these trying times. We are doing our best to get caught up.

Thank you for your continued support.

Yours truly,

Charles, Harriett, Clarence, Chuck, and Stephanie
