Dear Customers,

February finds us very busy getting ready for the coming racing season.  Just about all of our race customers are busy now. Many are preparing engines to go to Florida for Speed Week.

By the time you read this I will have celebrated another birthday. My Mother thought she was getting a Valentine but instead she got a groundhog. I got the coolest birthday present ever. Harriett, Victoria and Betty & Stan gave me the Monster Mile driving experience. I have dreamed of this for some years and now it will come true

There doesn’t seem to be such a furor over crate motors this year. They are still around and we even have a class at the local track that uses a crate motor that costs less than $3000.00 with considerable success. What sets it apart is that the class was created for crate motors in older Modifieds. At all levels there are people who have found a way around the factory seals and cheat these motors up. Since these motors are “factory sealed” tech on them is usually minimal. Once again, the money rules.

POR-15 now available from Camcraft

Those of you involved in the restoration of older cars are undoubtedly aware of POR-15 products. They make an amazing rust preventative paint that goes on right over rust and provides an extremely hard coating that actually cures harder in the presence of moisture. It is amazing. There are also related restoration products to complement it like gas tank sealer, top coat paints, engine paints, trunk and floor pan repair kits, body filler and much more. Since I am restoring 2 1964 Oldsmobiles and can use this paint for other things as well, I decided to become a dealer. We are the only dealer on the Delmarva Peninsula. Call  (410) 822-2122 or (800) 426-2261 to order your Por-15 products today. Free catalogs with every order over $20.00.

Have you wondered what we look like in person? Soon we will have a new addition to our web site introducing all of our employees with a short biography on each one. Meet the people you deal with and put a face to the name on the phone. You will also get to see pictures of our shop as well. This has been planned for a long time but we are making some progress now and should have it up in a month or two.

Johnson Lifters

Don’t forget we are now stocking Johnson lifters.  They have reopened and have 80% of their original employees back, as well as their original casting supplier. We are pleased to be a distributor for this fine product line. As planned, we will have special tray pricing for popular numbers. Call for details. Our prices will be decreased on many numbers, even in set quantities. The maximum savings is realized with 2-tray quantities drop shipped. Johnson lifters have been the lifter of choice for decades. Make Johnson lifters your choice for today’s performance engines. Most numbers are available with the direct lube option.

New Profiles

Progress has been slow but we did add a 284 degree .420 lift roller profile for Small Block Chevy size lobes. We will have some more before too much longer.

Remember the thing that sets us apart from the competition is the commitment to help you go faster. We don’t want to have to get new customers for each cam we produce. We depend on repeat business and referrals. We can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear but we can help upgrade your racing program no matter what level you are.

If you’re not running a Camcraft cam

You’re probably following one!!

Thank you for your continued support!

Yours truly,

Charles, Harriett, Clarence, Chuck, and Stephanie
