Dear Customers,

We enjoyed a nice Christmas in Sarasota, Florida with the whole family. I spent a few days fishing with an old childhood buddy from Fort Lauderdale. We went by our old home in North Palm Beach and then we went to Juno Beach where we used to spend many ours fishing in the late 50s and early 60s. We spent a little time fishing on the pier there for old times sake. We then went to Chokoloskee for some fishing in the Everglades.  We caught a few fish and had a great time.

I apologize for any inconvenience anyone suffered while we were gone. We were supposed to be open but the flu hit everyone right after we left so we were effectively shut down the week before Christmas. Everyone is alive and well now so we are back in business-just a week behind now.

Over all 2004 was a pretty good year for us and we want to take this opportunity to thank all of you that contributed to our success. We are a company that relies on many small customers with repeat business rather than several large customers. You all are important to us.

Johnson Lifters

Don’t forget we are now stocking Johnson lifters.  They have reopened and have 80% of their original employees back, as well as their original casting supplier. We are pleased to be a distributor for this fine product line. As planned we will have special tray pricing for popular numbers. Call for details. Our prices will be decreased on many numbers, even in set quantities. The maximum savings is realized with 3-tray quantities drop shipped direct to you. Of course we will quote on larger quantities.

Early 318 Chrysler performance cams

Many people have been looking for new performance cams for the early 318 Chrysler “A” engines with the “poly heads” from 1956 to 1966. Camcraft has the answer! We had a special run of semi-finished castings made and we have them in stock. They are made from Proferall ++ material, which is the same material most racing cams are made from. Now you have a much wider leeway in profile selection as you are not limited by what profile will fit on a stock cam as a regrind. Jobber price will be $225.00 + shipping

 Price increases

New prices will go into effect immediately. Steel prices have risen dramatically over the last 18 months. This has largely been caused by China’s rapid expansion of their industrial base that has pretty well consumed much of the world supply of steel. The price increase will be pretty modest overall.

 New profiles

We have several new profiles and more in the works. The first is a mild performance profile for the 2.3L Ford OHC engine It is 200 degrees @.050 with .420 lift. This compares to 188 duration and .380 lift stock. As far as I know we are the only cam grinder to offer a mild performance profile for this engine.

The second is a BBC roller profile with 278 degrees duration @.050 and .465 lift. I also plan to do a 274 duration lobe in this series with about .450 lift in the near future.

Also in the works is a low lift profile or two in our .904 series for limited lift applications.

I hope all of you have a happy and prosperous New Year. We look forward to helping you go faster in 2004.

Thank you for your continued support.

Yours truly,

Charles, Harriett, Clarence, Chuck, and Stephanie
