Dear Customers,
Warm weather is finally here most of the time. Racetracks are open and Camcraft customers are winning races once again.
Betty’s pregnancy is going well and she will deliver us a grandson in September. She & Stan will be in Easton for the 4th of July and we are giving a baby shower for her while they are here.
Harriett & I had a neat experience recently. We went to the Calhoun/ MEBA marine engineering school here in Talbot County where they train maritime marine personnel. They have the largest simulator in the US for training pilots. We got to operate a large ship in the Baltimore harbor. It was so real some people almost got motion sickness even though the wheelhouse itself never moves. It is all done with visuals through computers on a 220-degree screen. They can simulate day, night , wind, currents, rough seas and traffic.
I just came across a useful web site about motor oils & Lubricants. It is a forum called
www.bobistheoilguy.com. I only had a few minutes to peruse the site but it seemed to have a lot of good information on all types of lubricants. After all the cam failures of the last few years this is a valuable tool. Check it out.As we are getting busier, it is becoming more difficult for me to grind many cams. I try to do most of the flat tappet cams. I will be setting aside blocks of time to grind and will not be available to take phone calls from anyone. (We don’t play favorites when it comes to grinding time) I will have set times each day when I will return phone calls. It should be about every 2-3 hours. Please do not wait till the appointed hour to call, as I will likely be busy returning calls. Get on the list early, as I will try to return calls in the order they were received. If you know what cam you need, Harriett can take the order. Please be sure to give her the entire part number including series designation, .050 duration & cam lift for the intake
and exhaust, lobe separation and how much advance you want ground into the cam. If there are any doubts or questions someone will call back.Winners

I am looking for a ½ or ¾ ton GMC or Chevy PU with 4WD & extended cab. Prefer 5.7 gas engine, automatic, Silverado package or equivalent, with under 125,000 miles. May consider 454. No jacked up stuff.
